Picture Retake Day - Monday, October 23rd!

If you would like your child to have retakes, please log into your account and select Sign Up for Retakes for your child. This helps the staff at Brown, as we will have a list of students who plan to attend. Please do not place an order for this student, if you plan on sending your child to retakes. You will be notified when retake photos are available to preview and can place your order then.

*If your student missed picture day, you do not need to request retakes*

Remember not to wear GREEN as Josten's uses a green screen to photograph all students.

Lunch Supervisors

If you are interested in an opportunity to meet and hang out with our amazing Brown students during lunch and recess, we would LOVE to have you on our team. If you are interested or have questions, please email Mr. Rommel jrommel@sjschools.org

Changing Families Group

Changing Families Group is a peer support group for students who have experienced a change or transition within their family. This could include experiencing divorce/separation, a change in caregiver(s), a move or relocation, the absence of a parent, or any impactful shift within the family unit. Changing Families Group will provide a community of peers and an awareness that your student(s) is not alone, as many students have experienced and are experiencing changes within the family unit. Please talk with your student(s) about this opportunity. Should you and your child(ren) feel that this would be a beneficial support during the school day, please complete the following form: Changing Families Permission Form. If you wish to discuss this further or have questions, please feel free to contact Bri Van Hekken (269-926-3520 or bvanhekken@sjschools.org).

Opt-in for messages from St. Joseph Schools

This is an automated system that allows us to send out mass emails, texts, and phone calls. Examples: School closings, parent/teacher conference information, athletic schedule changes, fine arts concerts and performances, club and activity news, attendance, etc.

Please note: You MUST "opt-in" to receive text messages from the system. Send a text to 67587 with just a letter "Y" or "Yes" to make sure you have opted-in to receive SMS (Text) messages from St. Joseph Schools.

????????????Time to Eat a Bug!!????????????

On Friday, October 27th, Mr. Rommel eats a bug… or maybe a few to celebrate raising more than $25,000 for the school! This will be done in the office and broadcast on all classroom televisions to ensure all the students are able to see. The Bucks for Brown celebration was full of “Eat the Bug” chants, so we expect to hear this in the halls today. For those who were at Brown a few years ago, this is how we shared Mr. Pratley and Mrs. Bawks playing Beanboozled - it worked well!

Our annual yearbook cover contest opened this Friday, and submissions will be accepted through Friday, November 3rd. Each year, we ask our students to design the cover for our yearbook.

Please click here for rules and requirements!

Each October, the Women's Service League collects and distributes thousands of free coats to men, women, and children living in Berrien County. This event has helped thousands of people keep warm through the tough Michigan winters for over 20 years.

Please donate gently worn coats, hats, and mittens in any size to keep our neighbors warm this winter.

A collection box is in the vestibule here at Brown.

Positivity Project Character Trait of the Week

This week our school community will be focusing on the character strength of Curiosity.

Curiosity is a crucial component of one's character. Our innate urge for discovery and exploration is a key element of our human desire for wisdom and knowledge. It’s what keeps us intrigued in the plotlines of movies and books. It’s what pushes us to try new activities or travel to different places. All individuals experience curiosity but differ in their willingness to experience it – behaviorally, intellectually, and emotionally.

Volunteer Consent Form

This google form needs to be completed yearly to volunteer at any school.
